The Set of Instructions - Part I
Leader: Pastor Paul
Meets: Sanctuary
As Christians, we often find it difficult to know what to do in difficult circumstances. It can be
challenging to live our faith when confronted with the prevailing attitudes and beliefs of our society
today. Yet, as adults with responsibilities at home, at work, and within our communities, we’re
called by our Lord to demonstrate Christian leadership in a variety of situations.
On Sunday, January 3, 2010, Pastor Paul will begin leading a new six-week Bible study titled,
“The Set of Instructions – Part I”. Following the Apostle Paul’s letters to Timothy and Titus (often
called his “Pastoral Letters”), we will study Paul’s set of instructions to living the Christian faith.
Bring your Bibles and your questions to the sanctuary each Sunday morning at 9:20 a.m. as we
work our way through the first part of Paul’s set of instructions to the church and it’s people.
Ezekiel
Leader: Vicar Dan Suelzle
Meets: Conference Room
Perhaps no other prophet in the Bible is as famous as Ezekiel. Known for his outlandish and
seemingly crazy antics, Ezekiel is known as the most dramatic and eccentric of all the prophets.
He didn't just preach a message of judgment and repentance—he actually showed people that
message with his life and actions. And yet, as confusing as his actions seem sometimes, his
message is clear and resounds with the people of God. Come join Vicar Dan in the church
conference room, across from the nursery, for this six-week study beginning on January 3, 2010.
Faith Lessons on the Death and Resurrection of the Messiah
Leader: Jonathan Hermani and Jim
Greve
Meets: Chapel
Filmed on location in Israel, “Faith Lessons” is an in-depth video tour of the buried, distant, or
otherwise forgotten places where the stories of the Bible actually happened. From this cultural
perspective, teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan challenges long-held Western assumptions
about even the most well-known Scripture passages. The result? You and your family will simply
never read the Bible the same again.
The fourth “Faith Lessons” volume focuses on the last week of Jesus’ life, his death and
resurrection, and the Holy Spirit’s visit on Pentecost. This study, led by Jonathan Hermani and Jim
Greve will begin Sunday, January 3, 2010 in the chapel.
